รีวิว Q&A audi a8 s line 2020

Which car would you choose between the S class, 7 series, Jaguar XJ, and Audi A8?

The Mercedes Benz S-Class has been the industry standard for a long time, and will continue to do so. This would help its case with reliable service, comfortable ride and even some exciting interior comforts. Will also have a better resale value, which is important to me. 2018 Mercedes Benz S500 The BMW 7-series, is a luxury limo that drives better than many executive sedans. Looks great. Is very well appointed. The rear end of the cabin may not come with as much tech as an S-Class or an A8, but it’s not sparse by any means. That front grill though…. 2020 BMW 730Ld The Audi A8 is understated. It does everything it’s made to do. Has some poke, very decent ride quality, spacious interiors and clean lines all over. However, it isn’t nearly as exciting as it’s counterparts, for all its tech wizardry for the 2020 entrant… The 2020 Audi A8L 60TFSi The Jaguar XJ, has terribly expensive (even in it’s segment) after sales support, is not as reliable as its German counterparts and in some instances, not even similarly well equipped as its rivals. The interiors now, look dated when compared to its rivals, I mean, in all honesty, the car hasn’t received a major update since the better part of this decade. The resale on this thing will bomb your bank account if you get this fresh off the lot. Now that we know what is what, let me show you what I’d get. The 2018 Jaguar XJR 575, In satin grey. Because that 5.0Lt supercharged howl with 567 BHP to go with a body that looks like that, is like a Motown Biker in Savile Row, and that works for me.

What's your opinion about the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant?

Practicality. Check. Comfortability. Check. Drivability. Check There’s V6 engine 3.0l engine with 8-speed automatic gearbox underneath the bonnet. 0–60 with 3.6s, it’s impressive considering this is an estate, family-friendly car Cost around €150k, you’ll have good space inside because sharing same platform as the A6 sedan, no more cramped three in the backseat, good headroom and ergonomic driving position Since this is S6, S-Line exterior and interior with all-black interior touch Also you can fits many loads, stuffs, goods etc because huge boot capacity of estate car allows you to have on top of 1680 litres with backseat folded which is the biggest in the class Featuring a large 12.3-inch display mounted just behind the steering wheel, the Virtual Cockpit comes with several configurations. MMI navigation is included as standard. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto complement the convenience in the cockpit Final verdict, though the cost is quite painful but it’s overpriced for an estate. People who drive an estate couldn't care less about how fast their car is, the RS6 exterior is too aggressive/too sporty as well. It is worth a buy? Not that much, opt for A8 or S-Class instead

What is the size of the material and human losses that will be caused by the fall of a rock the size of a small car from a height of 23 km at a speed 20,000 mph in a residential neighborhood?

What is the size of the material and human losses that will be caused by the fall of a rock the size of a small car from a height of 23 km at a speed 20,000 mph in a residential neighborhood? Well, if you’re giving the speed then there’s really no reason to specify the height and vice versa. So I’ll take the easier option of using your size and speed and ignoring the height. Height would be useful if I had to work out the speed of impact - which you’ve thoughtfully provided. “A small car”. There’s room for interpretation there so let’s see if google has any easy answers. I found this little table at How much does a Car Weigh? [Average by Car Model & Type] If a Nissan Micra is in line with your idea of “a small car” then we can proceed. How much damage will be caused is mainly determined by one thing - the energy of the impact. First we need to ask ourselves if this is a relativistic event or not. At 20,000mph the answer is no, definitely, definitely not (<0.003% of c). So we can use the classical approximation KE=0.5*mv^2 0.5*1200 kg*(8940.8 m/s)^2 = 47,962,742,784 J or approximately 48.0 GJ. We use a historical measure to gauge explosions in “tons of TNT equivalent” which is defined as 4.184GJ/ metric ton of TNT. 48 Gigajoules is the equivalent of 11.47 tons of TNT. The Beirut explosion in 2020 (which you’re hopefully aware of) was estimated at 500–1,120 tTNT so we’re much much smaller than that. Poking around Wikipedia I found the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast , colloquially known as the "Mother of All Bombs" which has a yield of 11.0t right in your ballpark. (Actually, bombs are intentionally detonated before impact to enhance damage - up to 2x, so while rated lower, it’s actually more devastating than your scenario in impact energy) The MOAB has a blast radius of 150m which means that fatalities would be 100% for anyone unprotected within 150m of the impact site. As we move outwards the effects lessen but the mechanics behind pressure waves means we’re going to see some pretty devastating damage beyond that range. This white paper goes into some detail and, handwaving between two rows of one of the tables, we should see serious injuries out to the 2km mark. (PDF) https://www.sccm.org/getattachment/cc197ca2-fe84-47c0-b3ef-7d00abd6271b/Conventional-Explosions-and-Blast-Injuries A few applicable graphics: Your scenario has a 100% mortality rate from primary blast effects within 150m - this will be primarily applicable to anyone outside with clear lines of sight to the epicentre. Secondary and Tertiary effects are going to be variable. Your scenario happens in a residential neighbourhood, so people indoors are going to have some dissipation between them and the blast wave but secondary and tertiary blasts are going to be extremely common. Windows exploding, shards and shrapnel ripping through soft tissues at close to the speed of sound, people thrown through walls…you get the idea. The houses are also going to be going through this little sequence: Barriers are your friend! Tips: If you see the impact DUCK AND COVER! This could be the difference between life and death beyond the 150m mark. If you’re lucky enough to see it incoming (you won’t hear it - 20,000mph = Mach 26), placing obstacles between yourself and the epicenter could save your life even within the 150m death zone. Oddly, while mortality close in is extremely high, the number of people injured goes up drastically as you move outwards from the impact as the area impacted increases exponentially - think the radius of ripples on a pond when you throw a stone in. Heres a view of a MOAB exploding, note the energy going into the ground, unfortunately there’s no banana for scale here. This bomb was detonated 6ft above ground level. Video of a Mach stem: Note the spherical blast wave and the vertical black line (“Mach stem”) that yeets away at ground level - first really visible as the ground intersecting blast wave crosses the 1/3 mark. That’s an extremely concentrated, reinforced, black line of death. I’m not an explosives expert, just a physicist, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the fact that your rock is coming in at Mach26 means that it will have its own Mach stem from the trailing hypersonic boom. But you are going to “waste” a lot of energy making an impact crater as opposed to air waves, so still weaker than the MOAB. But close. Hope that helps. Oh and PS - if you're idea of “a small car” is the Audi A4, well then 0.5*1600 kg*(8940.8 m/s)^2 = 64.0MJ = 15.28t. That's still close enough that the MOAB is a good analogue. Audi A8 = 19.1t Russia claimed to have made a “Father of All Bombs” in the 44t range but defence experts are unconvinced - the MOAB is still your best comparison. Russian "Father of All Bombs" = Fake? Remember Russia’s "Father of All Bombs," reportedly the most powerful thermobaric weapon in the world? Turns out it’s at least partially a fraud. I’ve got the scoop over at Wired News: Father of All Bombs "has no match in the world," a military officer boasts in the official video. … But close analysis of the […] https://www.wired.com/2007/10/russian-father/

Which sedan should I buy, Mercedes S-Class or Audi A8? I have bought S-Class if it were last year but this year's Audi distracts my mind.

There are not to many Audi A8 around versus the S class Mercedes. Mercedes S class is the expensive line and they really have improved the design since 2015. I personally owned a S class in 2012 and traded it for a E 63 AMG M157 5.5-liter V-8, which makes 518 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque in the E ….made in Germany, It had the DTC 7 speed transmission. The S class is not really a city car so if you drive extensively on highway it is the best of the best…in that class and size. Note: I would not buy a S series if you live where snow is present many weeks per year as the snow creates some issues to avoid in that series. Audi A8 :This is a new model in 2019 and new models are famous to default in the first years. I would not spend that money until they correct the first group of issues; Wait until 2020 models if you consider a Audi A 8. Mercedes is a very solid car that has a reputation to respect as that they do constantly. Audi A8 Reviews | Audi A8 Price, Photos, and Specs | Car and Driver 2-2018 Mercedes-AMG S-Class 4MATIC Sedan

Do luxury cars get pulled over less?

Do luxury cars get pulled over less? Mark Walburg pulled over in his Bentley drophead by Los Angeles Police. For someone who’s been on both sides of the driver’s window during a police car stop, this is an interesting question to ask and you couldn’t have picked a better person to answer it. Savor this moment! Qualifications Not Listed in My Quora Credentials I was a police officer just past my 20th birthday and retired just before my 40th. Half of my career was in the highway patrol, so I’ve lost count how many times I pulled people over and how many tickets I’ve issued, but being in the highway patrol business, I can certainly say it was in the thousands. On the other side of the driver’s window I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been stopped by the police while I was off duty. I’ve received moving tickets twice in my entire life and probably deserved much more, once a year before I became a police officer by a Suffolk County NY police officer doing local speed enforcement in my neighborhood at the time 49 in a posted 35. After I retired I did security driving for wealthy people and driving their expensive cars. I’ve driven Mercedes S Class to Range Rovers to Rolls Royce Phantoms and stoped by the police for a gamut of reasons, mostly speeding. My second and last ticket came five years after I retired and the first year I moved to California, that was now 8 years ago by a California Highway Patrol Officer, not surprisingly, as he wrote a ticket anyway over my retired police ID, 70/55. I wasn’t rude or disrespectful. He probably had a suspicion I was once or still might be a police officer since as I was producing my credentials he said, “you can put that away I don't need to see that.” I spoke up anyway and it didn’t make a difference. So police can themselves get tickets too. If anything I can thank that officer because it was that traffic stop that probably started Sgt Al’s Traffic Ticket Blog. So as you can see, I’m uniquely qualified to give you an answer to this question. Pretext: Why Luxury Should Matter or Not The answer would probably be no, that actually a luxury car increases the chances of being pulled over even more, but it depends on the car and the reasons for the stop. It’s always about what it was that the driver of the car did that the car has now caught the attention of the police, then what kinda car it is. A luxury car cannot ever guarantee a certain outcome, but since the police are humans like you, some of us forget as we police do recruit from the human race and that’s you as we are YOU, a luxury car can also increase the likelihood of certain outcomes as they are tools we police use to make judgements about people. And cops can be judgmental past the point of cruelty, I’m sorry to say, but I’m being honest. And trust me, if you were in the same exact situation of being a police officer stopping such a vehicle as a Porsche or a Rolls Royce, you’d be doing the same exact thing as well, whether you were aware of it or not. Please. Definitions: What is a Luxury, Performance Luxury, and Exotic Bespoke Luxury Car? For the purposes of answering this question I will define: A luxury car as being any vehicle that’s made by a car maker who identifies themselves as a some kind of luxury brand. This is a generic definition. This could include the gamut of any luxury vehicle from a Buick or Chrysler up to a performance luxury brand like a Mercedes or BMW or Porsche or even Ferrari and all the way up to the pinnacle bespoke exotic brands like Rolls or Bentley or Ferrari or Lambo (both sports car brands are also luxury performance brands). Although it is exotic and bespoke, a Ferrari Portofino is also considered obviously a performance luxury sports car. Performance luxury is about a luxury vehicle built to perform a certain function, whether by terrain, speed, or handling, or combined, or by efficiency like an electric vehicle, and includes such brands like Porsche, Mercedes, Tesla, BMW, Audi, all the way up to Ferrari and Lambo and McLaren, etc. This is a red Ferrari on the left, a yellow Ford GT on the right. I’d consider both of these cars to be exotic performance bespoke luxury sports cars even though Ford is just a core mainstream brand. Both are custom special ordered in extremely limited numbers and obviously compete against each other. Regardless of your wealth, make sure you have bail money and a traffic lawyer on standby for the ticket you will inevitably get. It’s built into the ownership. Exotic luxury bespokes are the hand built made to order land yachts and sports cars like Rolls Bentley Lambo Ferrari Aston McLaren etc. These are hand built luxury cars that can be made to specific customized order, and may have some elements of performance, but are mostly about comfort then speed. So a Lamborghini can be a luxury vehicle, a performance luxury vehicle, and an exotic luxury bespoke vehicle. I also would consider a Tesla Roadster or a Mercedes Benz GT AMG or SLS AMG a luxury, luxury performance, and exotic luxury bespoke vehicle as all these vehicles are high end sports cars assembled only upon special order, even though their brands are not considered exotic. Same thing with a Chevrolet Corvette and a Ford GT. In the case of Corvette it now has a price point stripped at about $60,000 USD for the walk-in model, up into the six figures for the most horsepower. That’s exotic territory. And upon close examination is the officer going to be able to discern, at least I wouldn’t be able to immediately for all I’d care, and I’m the auto expert. The Luxury Car and You: It’s All About YOU then the Car If you drive a luxury performance vehicle whether a saloon or a sports car made for or suited to drive on the autobahn, and this gamut includes just about any European made saloon or any globally made sports car or sedan that is luxury performance and has the minimum of a 6 cylinder engine with a turbo or supercharger, or 8 or more cylinders naturally aspirated or not, or an electric motor so this includes just about any Tesla, that the car can easily exceed 100 mph for a while at cruising speed, you are more likely to be pulled over for speeding than driving anything else. And the reason is not necessarily because the police will go out of their way to find you, but rather because it is much easier to speed in these cars as they are made purposefully to be driven at high speeds and high revs for prolonged periods of time. A European saloon is specifically made for those times when the timetable for the European high speed rail or airline flight schedule across the continent is off track from your schedule at the moment, and you need to be somewhere in Europe as fast as possible that the train or flying won’t do, as you can afford to get there using such a vehicle, and do so in luxurious comfort. These vehicles are usually well engineered but not necessarily reliable, that they have a more comfortable insulated ride at high speeds for you to not notice or feel the high speed driving. It is most especially the high performance saloons, the S Classes and A8’s, that are conducive to police ticket writing. Keep in mind that the saloons are usually the vehicles which are more capable of going faster than most sports cars. I often tell newly minted Rolls Royce owners of any vintage to be careful with their newly acquired vehicle. It is a kind of car that its presence can invoke strong emotions and reactions good and bad. A Rolls Royce can open doors of opportunities to certain situations and close them as well. I tell new owners there are certain places in the world a Rolls Royce has no business being in, and to know where they are to avoid them. If you’re going somewhere expecting to find a bargain, forget it. New ownership for some is a culture shock they aren’t prepared for, starting with the constant stupid Grey Poupon gimmick to a constant invasion of privacy as to who owns the vehicle, and how are they wealthy to afford it. MYOFB!! But I have seen circumstances where it pulling up automatically gives it preference and deference to everything and everyone else. Expect curiosity but indifference if you get stopped by police in one. If you are driving any kind of serious luxury performance sports car from any kind of Mustang gas or electric, to Corvette to Ferrari or Lambo, regardless of your wealth or lack of it, I’d have a ticket defense fund set aside separately, if I were you. Seriously. You’ll need this for the inevitable day since you acquired such a car, that you are almost guaranteeing yourself that you will in fact one day get some kind of ticket, starting with speeding. Again, the reason is not necessarily because the police will go out of their way, but more so because of the car’s ability and your driving habits as a result of it. This fund should be at least $2,000 minimum, for the bail you might have to pay either to be released from the station house or to schedule a traffic court trial that this money most likely will be applied to your probably inevitable fine upon your conviction, and to be able to give your attorney at least $1,000 in retainer at the minimum to start your defense in traffic court, especially if you’re charged with excessive speeding, that’s usually 31+ over the speed limit that carries an automatic license suspension in most places if convicted. The Inverse: the Luxury Cars Least Likely to Get Stopped Since you asked the question “pulled over less,” for the answer to actually be more, let’s talk about the luxury cars least likely to get pulled over. Among the least likely of the luxury vehicles that you might get pulled over, is ironically in the exotic bespoke saloons like a Bentley or a Rolls, and that’s at least based upon my past experience from law enforcement and that comes from that part of the country I policed. While driving a euro land yacht does NOT guarantee that the police WILL NOT pull over, a police officer is definitely not going to go out of his way to pull a Rolls or a Bentley over by the same token. No officer is going to get fired or disciplined for doing his job, especially in this era of body cameras as these cameras reveal more civilians acting like jackasses than the cops ever do. But you are less likely to get pulled over driving a Rolls Royce than you are in a Chevrolet. Kim Kardashian bringing attention to herself in her Rolls Royce via the California Highway Patrol Pulling over a Rolls or Bentley is inviting aggravation that may not be worth it for an officer. More likely you’ll have to do something that really brings attention to yourself beyond just driving such a car to leave him no choice but to pull you over and take some kind of action, starting from a warning to summary action which may include an arrest. A Rolls or Bentley owner is more likely to know influential people that might not help an enforcement situation like a car stop or a ticket, that’ll mean more paperwork for the officer. Here’s an example: In the parts I policed, such vehicles were more likely to be driven by such people who belong to things like being members of the diplomatic corp who usually had either diplomatic or functional immunity. And if this happened regardless of the action taken, it usually required notification to people and places such as the patrol supervisor, platoon or watch commander, patrol duty captain or inspector, patrol duty chief, and the police operations desk, which then had to notify the media and the mayor’s operations action desk, who probably had to notify the governor’s office and the US State Department and then, blah blah blah, well, you know how things like that usually go. And then there’s the paperwork behind all this. See what I mean? So the police have to be careful. And if you drive such a vehicle, so should you to not make such a situation worse than it can be. And to decrease the chance of driving something like a Bentley to not get stopped, there are some places on earth where one really has no business driving a Rolls or a Bentley. Here in LA, there’s a reason why you’re more likely to see a Rolls or a Bentley being driven in Brentwood or Bel Air than you are in Compton or Watts. And it’s the last two places where that Bentley has a good shot of having the driver doing face time at roadside with a police officer in those neighborhoods. And this has less to do with race as it is more about economics, social order, and class. That kind of car usually doesn’t normally belong in places like Compton or Watts. It might warrant investigation. So back to the question: Do luxury cars get pulled over less? No. Actually luxury cars get pulled over more often than other brands or kinds of vehicles. And among these, there are certain vehicles which makes such a prospect inevitable, and certain vehicles that makes such a prospect less likely. And ironically, it depends on the actions of the driver that invokes a reaction from the police. The kind of luxury vehicle you might be driving might make a difference. But the bottom line is that this is all subjective and not an exact science. It is what it is. I hope this answers your question.
