Neither. Both are easy to drive. Just like any other car. I drive a Dodge Hellcat 770hp, and yes it can be quick and you can spin the wheels. But only if you choose to drive it that way!

First of all, the kind of women you can attract with a car is not the kind of women you want to waste your time on. However, when I used to work as a photographer for luxury and exotic dealerships I had access to nice cars. The list of cars I’ve taken off the lot included the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black, Ferrari 599 GTO, Audi R8 GT, and so on. More relevant to you, I’ve also had access to late 60s Mustangs, early 70s Challengers, and my favorite was the Shelby Cobra. Unfortunately, the majority of attention I received when I was driving these cars was from other males. Purchase, drive, and work on a vehicle you appreciate. Do it because it makes you happy, not because of what girls or anyone else will think.

If you’re separating the “types” by cylinder placement, then all the mainstream types are used. Inline engines are used in low- to mid-range sports cars, like hot-hatches and coupes. I-4: Suzuki Swift Sport, VW Golf R, Alfa Romeo 4C I-5: BMW 1-Series M Coupe, Audi TT RS V-shaped engines are used in mainly higher-end sports cars. There’s exceptions of course, like Lotus. V6: Nissan GTR, Lotus Exige V8: Corvette C7 Stingray, Mercedes Benz AMG GT V12: Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG Flat engines are rarer, but still used. Toyota 86GT, Porsche Cayman/Boxter 718 (Flat 4) Porsche 911 (Flat 6) Bentley went as far as to use a W-shaped engine for their Continental GT, a W12 to be exact. Mazda back in the day used Rotary/Wankel engines for their sports cars, but has ceased the production of this type of engine due to various issue with the engine. RX7 (FC/FD) RX8 In general, sports car engines uses petrol, are high-revving and tuned for performance. Hoped this helped :)

What is the angriest driver you've ever seen and what was the person doing on the road?
The first guy that comes to mind was an obvious wanna be "gangsta" with tattoos running from his fingers all the way to the top of his shaved head. I like to drive fast, at least as fast as the road conditions can handle. Since I spent almost half of my lifetime designing and building both professional and factory race cars and rear engine dragsters, let's just say that every vehicle I ever owned had more than enough power. I love huge older heavy metal Detroit behemoths with monster engines. At the time I was driving a 1977 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham with a 650 hp 426 hemi and two AFB 4 barrel carbs. This guy gets right up on my rear bumper on an extremely curvy road with reverse banking to the outside for drainage. The speed limit is 35 mph and I'm doing about 50. So I speed up and over the next several miles this goofball tries to stay on my bumper. It was around 85 mph when we went into an extremely tight curve and he skidded off the road and took out a row of mailboxes in his low rider Toyota. I figured that would be the end of his idiocy, WRONG! I'm stopped at a light sitting in the left hand turn lane and this moron pulls up alongside me and pulls out a gun and points it at me, like it was my fault his POS couldn't stay on the road, and now his multi colored metalflake paint is totally trashed from the row of mailboxes he took out a few moments earlier. He motions with the gun for me to roll down my window so he can make some obvious threats. So I used my left hand to open the passenger side window and my right hand to point my .44 magnum directly at his head. (I have a CCW by the way). His jaw dropped and his eyes got as big as saucers and before he could say a word, I told him he should drive away before I killed him and his little toy car. He ran the red light and I called the sheriff's department as I followed him giving them the license number and vehicle description and our location. Poor moron damned near blew his little rice burner up trying to outrun me, right up to the point where three sheriff's deputies cars were waiting for him up ahead. I pulled over and watched while the deputies arrested him, and all the while he was crying like a baby that I had threatened his life and tried to run him over. He had no idea that the police knew me quite well since I was the guy who worked on their specially modified "wolf pack" high speed interceptors. He finally quieted down when they found his illegal handgun along with a almost half a kilo of cocaine under the seat. I'm not so sure that he was as much angry as high on drugs and scared s**tless. The angriest driver I ever encountered was some asshat driving a black 2005 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG while I was returning home after dropping off a friend at the airport. It was about 5:00 in the morning and the interstate highway was almost deserted. It was a stretch of over 20 miles with no entrances or exits and I was driving a 1968 Chrysler Imperial that I had just finished restoring and had installed another of my favorite dual quad 800 Hp engines. I was cruising along at around 100 mph when this black Benz appears in my rearview and is gaining on me. So I did what any self respecting gearhead would do, I sped up even faster. Well I guess that really pissed him off and he pulled into the left hand lane and gave that Benz everything it had. He pulled up alongside of me and I just matched his speed until we were going about a 150 mph. For those other gearheads out there, my Chrysler had a 2.65 rear axle and a 4 speed B&M hydro transmission with top speed of just over 220 mph. as we neared the 160 mph mark, the governor on his SL65 kicked in and he had reached his limit. So I downshifted and cruised it up to about 180 mph and I guess that's what probably made him lose his cool altogether. How could a big old tank of primitive USA iron possibly outrun his almost $200,000 finely crafted piece of German engineering. The same way american cars always have, brute force. If a lot of horsepower is good, even more is better. A few minutes later I slowed down as we neared the city, knowing that there would be patrol cars around and the last thing I needed was another ticket for going 100 mph over the speed limit, which by the way was 70 mph. The last one I had gotten several years earlier was for going 135 in 45 zone. As I slowed back to the speed limit, this guy was on me like white on rice and he followed me like a cheap trailer all the way to the local restaurant where I usually stopped for breakfast, and so did the Highway Patrol Troopers. <Grin> I pulled into the parking lot and started to get out and the guy pulled up crossways behind me and jumped out of his car. He was about five foot six and stocky and for all the world he looked like a pissed off gorilla coming at me. I stood up and waited for him to approach me. I'm six foot three and weigh 270 pounds and I've been working on cars my entire life and can easily grab a 200 pound engine block and carry it with ease. He took one look at me smiling at him and he decided that taking a poke at me would probably not end well for him. So he stood there spouting 4 letter expletives at the top of his lungs and calling me names like ignorant inbred redneck hillbilly moonshine runner and other not so nice descriptions. Of course the Troopers inside heard the ruckus and came running out to check it out. Just about the time they arrived the guys Benz made a loud popping sound and a huge cloud of steam poured out from under the hood and front wheel wells. The cops and I just stood there and watched as the guy began pounding his fists on the hood of his car and kicking the doors calling it another series of four letter expletives. We all just grinned at each other and went back inside to have breakfast. Pissed off asshat gets his just dues. <even bigger grin>

How do you disconnect your car battery without losing memory?
On my previous Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG it had a 2nd big battery in the boot (rear trunk) which powered the various computers. You couldn’t just “nilly willy” go and disconnect that battery otherwise all the memory and computer settings would be lost. I am a big advocate of the Ctec battery trickle chargers. These units have a “supply mode”. When plugged in to the mains wall socket you can select SUPPLY and connect the crocodile clips to the battery cables and then disconnect and remove the 12 volt battery. The Ctec unit then supplies 12 volt power sufficient to retain all the memory in the computers. Once your new battery is connected you can then safely disconnect the Ctec unit.

When were you treated poorly by a car dealership until they found out you were rich?
In my experience, it's usually the mid-tier luxury that are more snobbery than either the low-end dealers or exotics. It was 3 years ago when I was looking into updating my 09 Mercedes SLK into a 2014 newer model SLK or SL. Being a software developer for a casually-dressed company, I would often be in tshirts and shorts, and a snap back hat, and being young looking that makes me look like a college student. I remember walking into the local Benz dealer asking to see the most current model year, and the salesman made a face and expressed uninterest in helping me explore my options, made all kinds of excuses of cars not being available to see. When I did find an SL65 AMG and inquired for a test drive, the salesman casually looked up from his desk and said he would only let me test drive it if I start the paperwork to purchase the car first. I thank him for his time and promptly left. My experience the following week at Porsche, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Maserati, Lotus, Lamborghini, and McLaren, were beyond friendly, despite wearing the same shirts/t-shirts combo. At all these exotic dealers, I was treated with utmost respect as a potential client, and was able to test drive all their models as I wanted, with just my driver license, no nonsense excuses. I was even offered for an extended test drive that would have let me keep the McLaren for the weekend. In the end, I bought a Lotus Evora. When I'm ready for the next upgrade, McLaren will have my business. I guess high-end dealers learn early on that their clients dont fit in a certain look.
