Well I for one don’t. Here is a Mercedes ML430: Like the rest of the ML range it is utter rubbish. I’m sorry I bought the thing. It handled corners like a whale, the ABS cut in far too soon and you couldn’t turn it off, and then the engine gave up after only 120,000 kms. I’ve sworn an oath never to buy another Mercedes ever again. Meanwhile I wouldn’t mind one of these: Known in my part of the world as the Hyundai Genesis, it does look very nice. I hear it has a great ride, plenty of power, and is very luxurious. It’s just a pity I have no need for such a car, but I do like it nevertheless. And, of course, there’s this: The Nissan GTR. I mean it speaks for itself. Why wouldn’t any petrolhead want one? Alas it’s out of my price range. Having said that my daily drive is this: The Nissan Leaf. Very good range for an EV, not too expensive as EVs go, and whilst it has its quirks, I’ll be holding onto it for a decade. Above all it does the job very well. As for Nissan merging with Hyundai? You have to be kidding! The governments of both Japan and South Korea would step in and say absolutely not! And this is despite the fact that Renault, which owns the controlling interest in Nissan, has no interest in selling it off.

In various commentaries that I’ve read these days over the case, two issues emerged which I am denouncing since the beginning of my career, and which I feel it’s time to reiterate loud and clear and once and for all to all the newcomers, but also and especially to the veteran performers: Alleged assaults on set are often not reported to the police. Performers sign a model release before the scene gets shot. If you are a performer who gets assaulted on set, you must report it to the police immediately; not on Twitter, not on Facebook, to the police! This is so painfully obvious that I want to call it rule number zero. There is no way that we are going to stop this trend if we don’t report it to the Police and if we don’t cooperate to bring the perpetrators of this crimes to justice. Rule number one is: ,never, ever sign paperwork before a scene is shot., I have never ever signed anything before a shooting: how can you agree to release something that hasn’t been shot yet? You might argue that that’s one of the reasons why I’m blacklisted in ,Porn Valley,, but for God’s sake: I’m ,fraking, proud of it. ,It’s time that the veterans start acting like the pros they pretend and are supposed to be, by leaving their shortsighted personal interests aside and set an example of professionalism for the newcomers and the future generations of performers., Signing a model release before the scene is shot is suicide. You can’t consent to release something which doesn’t exist yet. You can’t preemptively consent to release a performance which might be later pushed beyond your limits, beyond an agreed script, beyond your dignity, beyond the law. I hear talking about an elusive performers’ code of conduct on set since a decade. This industry has an ,Adult Performer Advocacy Committee, and a Department of Labor approved and registered ,International Entertainment Adult Union, whose priority seems to be performers punctuality on set. Dear APAC, dear Union, dear whomever else pretends to (dis)represent adult performers and (hence and most of all) dear colleagues, new and old: do NOT sign a model release until the scene has been shot and you agree with what has been shot. Here is your code of conduct #1 rule. I’ve talked about number zero, already. Should you finally become serious about supporting professionalism in this industry, feel free to inquire about rule number three, four, five, etc.

Each of those vehicles appeals to a slightly different demographic. People tend to congregate with like-minded people. That specific group of people that prefers BMW based upon how the vehicle looks, what it is equipped with, how it is priced, and what the company message is. Audi is the Lexus of Volkswagen. While they may far surpass the heritage tracing their lineage beyond the initial Auto Union days of the 1930's, they do not market themselves that way. They push the customer facing attitude of being different. They offer all wheel drive and performance, and don't care that you can pick the Passat and Jetta parts out on the car while blindfolded. Mercedes-Benz base their vehicles in the United States as a luxury lifestyle choice. This critical discernment is why the A class, and all but the electric B class are not brought to these shores, as it would undermine the image. Sure they have AMG for the enthusiasts, but the rest of the line is dead and stuffy, but solid as a brick and quiet. It wasn't until the release of the 221 S class in 2007 that their mainstream cars could do anything in a corner but understeer. Pushing the apex of every corner for that young and upcoming professional is not their stance on cars. The real luxury feel doesn't happen until you dish out aver 60 grand, but the line of vehicles gives the impression and feel through subtleties like unified styling and unsegregated service and sales, with the exception of Maybach and Maclaren clients, but for half a million a car they get a little more. BMW pushes the sporty. Now it's about as sporty as say, Sporty Spice, putting on a track suit and belting out bubblegum pop. Yes the M sport line is fun, but so are AMG and the R models of Audi. It's rather odd that the sporty company hasn't put out a real dedicated track killer supercar since the Z8, and even that was a little too refined and old E type Jag to really takeout for a thrashing, but that's Sporty Spice for you. Sure the 325i can round the Nurburgring .5 seconds faster that the equivalent base line Merc and Audi, but no one drives their daily driver like that unless they own their local body shop and happen to be the local police cheif. So the feel of young and sporty is what they aim for. As they say, there is an ass for every seat. These companies know their target market and play the apllicable cards.

Why do people leave their luxurious life in the US and go back to India?

I am currently in US and will definitely move back to India within 5–6 years. The reason why I think so In India, I feel strong. Seriously I do, I feel like a king or I would use the term relaxed. Back here in US, I am afraid of guns. You don’t know when can someone pull a gun out at you. I feel secure with my parents and all the relatives. Out of my house, I can talk to 50 people. Here in US, I don’t have anyone. Near by CVS pharmacy don’t have the same rep always or they really don’t care. India may have it’s problem like electricity and water but we will always have a way to live around that and still feels happy. In the last three years, I wished many times to have power cut so that I can talk with my wife without any trouble of phone or TV. Here it comes…INDIAN FOOD!!…. Trust me nothing in this world will beat that. We have all sorts of flavor in our food..spicy chutney…sweet ladoo…and Kerala sadya.. it’s beyond words.. Perhaps I do believe we all live and work for food..everything else is secondary. In US, you will never get any of these flavors except tons of sweetness in breakfast. US is frantically materialistic. People buy things even when they don’t need it. iPhone, iPad, iMac, BMW, Benz etc and so on. Life is a race to catch on. I really can’t understand why people should buy something when there is no real need for it. In India, if I go for a walk in the morning I will meet 10 other people who will eventually get in touch with me. In India, people never have a hesitation to talk if they meet regularly( In any foreign land, we never even smile with another Indian:) ) . That means I have a better social life. Being in US, in an apartment which needs to entirely closed out during winter season, I smell depression in air. 7. If you have a decent job and a nice house, or even better if you and your wife are working, then India is the best place to live. You will never feel a place as vibrant as India. People here in US, while going to New York will always speak high about the vibe. I wholeheartedly welcome them to India and feel the real vibe.
