Why do we rarely see new cars painted in the color green today, where in the past there was no shortage of various shades of green exteriors and green interiors, especially in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s?

I do think it´s simply not fashionable at the moment, surprisingly it´s popular to paint cars in this industrial flat grey color (epoxy grey), damn, i really hate that flat grey, it´s so dull and boring, but it´s in fashion now. Green has been making a comeback, like this Alpina version of this BMW. I don´t like loud green colors or poison green, unless they are on a Lamborghini, Verde Mantis looks incredible but generally the darker greens do look nice. People have been going a lot for white/grey/Flat grey , it´s time to stir it up a bit.

What are some good AWD hatchback sports cars used and new?

I’ll start with my favorite: the Ford Focus RS. Unfortunately, Ford cut the production of these cars, so your best bet is to find one used in good condition. This fun little car comes with 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft. Combined with AWD, this rally-inspired car is set up for some real fun driving. I really like the light blue color option as well as the glossy grey- colors that would not look out of place on a Lamborghini. I really think this is a future classic in the making- a performance built, manual transmission car that is no longer in production. It’s the kind of car people will look back in the future, wishing they had bought them cheap and unmodified. The car also comes with some nice goodies, like big Brembo front brakes, Recaro sports seats, and a drift mode that turns the car into a RWD drift car. Speaking of drifting, Ken Block has his own Focus RS: Another good option is the Volkswagen Golf R. A little more sensible than the Focus RS, the Golf is a real sleeper that would not be noticed in traffic, until it speeds up quicker than most cars on the road. The VW benefits from a big aftermarket scene, with many plug-and-play upgrades available to boost the car’s performance.

Why are modern cars usually grey, black or white, compared to the old cars that are painted in a wide variety of beautiful bright colors?

Apparently this has to do with trends in fashion and taste. Such trends are influenced by customer preference (certainly every maker keeps track of which colours are most frequently ordered) but also by the company designers. In the 1970s bright colours were in fashion. In the 1980s it was metallic tones. It seems like small cars are more colourful than larger and more expensive cars. Apparently in the mind of many, a large car must be black, grey, silver or white. Some sports cars come in typical colours like Ferrari red or Lamborghini yellow. I guess if enough customers want a specific colour and communicate it to the builder, it can be made. But on series produced cars it doesn’t seem worth to introduce a special colour for a small order.

Why are fun coloured cars so unpopular?

Many claim that with a funky color the resell value will be much less or more difficult to just sell the car. I simply think the main thing is to get it right, not all cars look good in white, not all do look good in black. I always like the Range Rover sport in this orange color. Here are two lovely examples of Ferrari’s in a color called “blue tour de france” , they are usually Ferrari read which is the classic color, but i sometimes like this slightly different but very nice blue color, i rarely like a yellow Ferrari (it suits only few models, these two NO ) And the winner in my book is the dark blue color, it suits the car, i think in the future when people are looking for one of these and find 50 black ones, 50 silver cars…and this one blue it will be sought after. Supercars are usually exempt from boring colors, like these two Lamborghini Huracans. Overall i think a bright color can usually result in a very nice car, but the color has to be chosen carefully which suits the car it can be so much nicer and not boring as black, silver and metallic grey. I´m going to nominate the worst color ever (which is trending a bit now) which i find ugly on every single car i see in, that is flat grey or industrial silicon grey, it is boring in all dimensions ! No depth, no visual enjoyment..nothing really, and now look how much that blue color pops on the other RS4, it transforms the car!

What is it like to live in La Jolla, CA?

Expensive and fun. I lived there 10 years ago for a year. Condo was 5x the cost of something similar on east coast, so you've gotta be making some good money to afford to live out there. My wife and I went to look at a house that was $750K, because that was the cheapest that we'd seen available... it turned out to be someone's converted garage that they were selling. It's a really fun place to live because of great fitness studios, restaurants, nearby attractions, etc. You'll be sitting at an outdoor cafe for breakfast a seeing a Lamborghini drive by... stuff like that. I had a friend who had a convertible Bentley that was grey with burgundy top. One day I saw it outside a restaurant that I was in, went out to say hi to my friend and realized that it wasn't his Bentley, just another in town that was the same colors. Crazy!

With only 20 vehicles built, the Lamborghini Murcielago Versace for sale is one of 10 examples with white paint. It was ordered with the Reventon wheel package, 680 hp BF performance upgrades, Valvetronic exhaust, and carbon-fiber aerodynamic package. The car comes with a “price on request” tag but according to the seller, its estimated price is about 590,000 euros. 5. 2021 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster SVJ: a golden chance you won’t want to miss Price: approx. $759,593 The newest Aventador SVJ to date, this example has everything a car needs to turn heads on streets, including the rare golden color in which the Aventador SVJ Roadster was presented at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle was developed as a tribute to Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, with only 9 roadsters and 5 coupes rolled out in 2013-2014. How does a car company decide which colors to use for a particular year?

When the streets where filled with colorful cars of yore, it was kinda amazing how they decided about it. But these days, they simply go for the boring-highly resalable black, white, or grey. Rarely red, only if they meant it to look a little “sporty”. While some car companies have a trademark color. Like McLaren has orange owing to their color assignment in their racing history. Same with Ferrari’s Corsa Rosso or racing red, but they go with yellow and black too. While Lamborghini often uses yellow, orange, sometime green, not so much with red though, or black and white too. Or Bentley in British racing green.

What color of automobile do you tend to favor? What color do you tend to avoid?

My color choice is mostly influenced by the shape and details of the car. My current car came in three colors, metallic red, silver, and a deep blue. The blue car looked shapeless and the silver car looked tall (color illusions). I picked metallic red. I’m looking at getting another car soon but for this particular car, I’d go either metallic red or metallic dark grey, with preference for the grey. I’m of the philosophy that each car shape allows only certain colors to work. recent Lamborghinis for example (Aventador and Huracan) can take on a lot of colors including almost-fluorescent green, while a Ferrari can’t. As for avoid, I’m totally not fond of very loud colors and pastel colors.

Which exotic car(s) would have the most demand for weddings, photo shoots, rentals, etc., from the following list: McLaren (any), Ferrari Spider 458, Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, Jaguar XF R-type, Mercedes SLS AMG GT, or 2017 Acura NSX?

Depends on the color, obviously a bright color like red or yellow would be more in demand than something like grey or black. With that said ranked from most in demand to least: Tied for first: Mclaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini. These are very comparable, highly desired mid engined sports cars. It all depends on the color when it comes to visual appeal. Second: NSX. Also mid engined, but acura doesnt have the same appeal as the others. Still cool though. Third: SLS. Mercedes is not a super exotic brand, and the SLS is a relatively subtle car. Unless of course, the gullwing doors are open, in which case this car could be first on this list. Fourth: the Jag. Unfortunately, this is a very subtle car. Four door sedan. Not gonna be turning any heads. Just my two cents
