@_Hiamovi_ I had theorized that Vivi could get the Logia power of Yuki (29) Yuki (29) no Mi (Snow-Snow Fruit). But when Luffy has a 29 Devil Fruit, the theory goes down the drain. Because then you would have to if Luffy has no Logia power... You would have to find a 56 Logia Fruit Power...
@lin_alter well without haki some devil fruits would be too overpowered like logias and damage nullification type fruits like luffy and haki opens up more possibilities for the fruit like luffys gears with his armament and katakuri’s future sight to make an improvised logia out of his fruit

If Doflamingo had a logia fruit, how strong would he be?
We have to keep in mind that Doflamingo was never a fighter, he's a tactician and a Psychopath. The reason he outmatched Luffy at first was because he mastered the powers of his OWN Devil Fruit, to the point of awakening. It wasn't pure strength that made Doffy so menacing, if that were the case Luffy would have wiped the floor with him. If he had a Logia, he'd either be so egotistical and lazy that he'd end up like Crocodile did or the exact opposite. Looking from the perspective of him being an expert at mastering his powers. Doflamingo would probably be past the level of Warlord and approaching Yonko level, had he been able to master a Logia and then surely maintained the production of SMILE.
Why is Whitebeard's devil fruit considered overpowered compared to a logia fruit?
The Gura Gura no Mi isn't just the most powerful Devil Fruit within the Paramecia class, it's the most powerful amongst ALL Devil Fruits. Simply put, it is the only Devil Fruit capable of destroying the entire planet. No other Devil Fruit has the destructive capabilities of this magnitude. The Gura Gura no Mi's user has to be very careful in utilizing its power, however. One quake can cause a massive tsunami which can result in the user's death. As we've seen in the story, Whitebeard easily summoned two tsunamis that were aimed for Marineford. This was a calculated attack as he knew the tsunamis and the surrounding water would subsequently be frozen by Aokiji, resulting in a surface the pirates could land on to commence the war. Had it not been for Aokiji's intervention, everyone (including Whitebeard and the Admirals) would likely have perished due to the well-known seawater weakness all Devil Fruit users share. The tsunamis would also have devastated the Marine Warships, the pirate ships, and entire Marineford Base itself. There isn't a single Logia fruit that can cause this much damage. On the flip side, Logia fruits will always be superior and ideal in terms of battle. They have more than enough offensive and defensive properties. The Gura Gura no Mi is pure destruction, and it can kill the user if not handled carefully. GURARARARARARARARA!
Why did Oda make Logia fruit overpowered?
I don’t think that Logia fruits are overpowered in the OP verse, For example, look as these people, These characters represent the pinnacle of power in the OP verse and not a single one of them is a Logia DF user. Either they are purely Haki users or they are Zoan or Paramecia DF users. Sure, Logia users are overpowered for those people who don’t know Haki. But Logia users are just like any other DF user for a Pirate/Marine who knows Haki well. Logia users are definitely overpowered in cross verse battles because they are invincible if the opponent doesn’t know Haki. But they are Definitely not overpowered in the OP verse.
If Luffy ate a logia fruit, would he have become a Marine?
Maybe, there is the possibility garp would have taken direct control of Luffy to mold him into a “responsible” logia DF user, but probably not. Luffy made up his mind to be a pirate after seeing and talking to Shanks and his crew at a young age. This was even before he was sent to live with the bandits, Ace, and Sabo that he decided to be a pirate, because pirates are free and that's what he wants is to be able to kick back, relax, and be the freest guy out there as the king of pirates. So, long story short, Luffy would still be a pirate, he'd still be a headache to the World Government, and he'd still be a pain in the ass for his crew.
Could Netero beat a Logia fruit user like Enel or Kizaru?
Different characters from different franchises. Besides which, one has to understand how Logia Fruit users work. They effectively render their users invulnerable to physical attacks, especially if they can sense when a physical blow is about to hit them. This is why Luffy was able to accidentally hit Smoker and Ace when he slingshot himself into a bar for some food and water, as seen here: Of course, Smoker and Ace were caught completely off-guard by Luffy’s sudden appearance. Smoker doesn’t have Observation Haki, and Ace’s attention was completely occupied. If Luffy—or for that matter, anyone else—wanted to fight a Logia user head-on, one of three things needs to happen first: Your Devil Fruit abilities must grant the ability to bypass said Logia user’s abilities, as seen when Luffy first punched Enel. You find a specific weakness said Logia user has (for example, Luffy used water and then his own blood as a means of negating Crocodile’s Sand-Sand Fruit powers). Learn and develop your Armament Haki so you can make contact with a Logia user. That’s basically what it takes to make contact with a Logia user and to deal damage. I don’t know anything about Hunter x Hunter, but unless Netero possesses abilities that can directly negate Enel or Kizaru’s Logia’s powers, or arms himself to the teeth with Sea Prism stone, there’s really no reason to expect that Netero could do much of anything against them. But again, I should stress that we’re talking about completely different franchises here.

The thing with the Logia types of fruits is that they don’t have a limit for how much of their element can be produced, thus, it’s virtually impossible to overburden the fruit with mass and wieght or any other thing material, why just virtually? Because there is one time when this can be bypassed and this is when one fruit faces its opposite element or fruit, thus, rendering one of their greatest benefits useless which is its intangibility, this is why they are so fearsome and labeled to be the strongest Devil Fruit type out of these 3. There is the Haki that also works as a way to counter those Devil Fruit users yet it all depends in how much mastering one does possess in this, so using it to overburden the fruit itself is unlikely by this method since it’s usability is to bypass the fruit’s effects and reach the once solid body. So, finally answering the question: No, any Logia user if not hit by Haki, anything based off of Kairoseki or its opposite element or fruit, will keep being immaterial and regrowing the user’s body over and over again limitlessly and even if smashed or squeezed onto something the fruit will allow the user to dig his way out like with Akainu back there at the Marineford War..
