Majority shows that Honda CB125 is not going to be launched in India anytime soon.
I think she is Dana Vana.
A 1972 Yamaha AS3 125 two stroke twin would eat a modern 125 for breakfast. A 1978 Honda CB125 T would also out accelerate and have a higher top speed than most road going 125’s today (13000 rpm red line and a claimed 17 bhp) There are a few full power 125 road bikes, but since the early ‘80’s the majority are either restricted to 12 bhp or give out that much by design…
I used to commute 20 miles each way on a Honda CB125. It was fine. Not much passing power so I didn’t bother, I just kept up with the traffic. No problem. It was a great bike. Some years later I commuted 30 miles on a Suzuki GSX250. Much easier and great performance, when it was running. What an unreliable dog. I swapped it for a Honda CB250N. Now that was like swapping a Lada for a Honda Accord. Smooth, quiet, comfortable and easy. The perfect commuter.
It depends. For short distances, you can’t beat a small motorcycle like the Honda CB125 or the YBR125. They’re inexpensive, reliable and easy and fun to ride in trafic. My old Honda CBF125. I regret selling that bike. If you need\want something bigger and versatile, i would say the NC750x is the almost perfect commuter bike. Here’s a pic of mine: Excellent mileage, super reliable, easy and cheap maintenance with big intervals, good torque, fast enough top speed. I’ve ridden mine for over 112 000 km and i’m still happy :)
Can’t say what motorcycle has the lowest seat height. My first was a Honda CB125, was an excellent beginner bike.
I had that done on my Honda CB125 around 1978, after running out of oil and seizing the piston. Re-bore and new oversized piston. Twice (duh; no oil light on those). Some people would overbore to get more capacity and more power.
A 125cc 4stroke motorcycle engine by Honda would have in between 8 and 17 horsepower. Allthough Honda could surely squeeze out 13hp out of 100cc, Maybe 80cc. Honda makes alot of engines, Maybe that exists, but not as far as i know, just because there´s not much reason to do so. The Honda cb125 r is said to have 13.3hp,, variations happen, so yeah, some may have 13hp, some 13.5, some 14, some 12.8. 125er Vergleich: Honda CB125R Test - Testbericht
1: Get my motorbike out for a ride (1976 Honda CB125). Seriously. This is the first thing I’m going to do. I only just finished restoring it and had it MOT’d (road safety test for those of you non-UK peeps) before this all started. I have only ridden it ONCE until now, on a dirt trail. 2: Meet up with all of my friends again. I miss them. a lot. 3: GO BACK TO WORK. I work in a Transport Museum, and I love my job.
Can’t say what is “the best”; many years ago I had a Honda CB125, an overhead cam twin, which got 80 mpg (less if running flat-out at 60–65mph on a highway) and was easy to maintain
