What are the challenges which Tesla is facing to introduce its electric vehicles in India?
Ultimately, it comes down to the cost of vehicles. The cheapest Tesla available right now is the $35000 Model 3 in the US. And the reason for that pricing is that the average price of buying a car in the US is around $36000 and when Elon announced the Model 3 as a “mass market vehicle”, he had to at least make it around that price point. If you have been following Tesla, you will know how hard they struggled to manufacture the Model 3 for $35000 and it took 3 years for them to finally announce it (February 28, 2019). And it remains highly speculative if they even make a profit out of that model. Extending the same logic, the average cost of buying a car in India is around 10 Lakhs (10–15 Lakhs). Making their Electric cars with huge batteries at this price point is absolutely next to impossible right now. It can only be possible now if, The Indian government provides subsidies for their cars. They already do, but for cars costing less than $21000. They start manufacturing it in India at a huge unprecedented scale which is not on the cards right now. It would be a huge waste if Tesla invests in such a big industry but there is not enough demand. Granted, they can import their higher end cars into the country with 100% import duty. It will compete with the likes of BMW 3 series GT, the Mercedes Benz CLA class or the Audi A4 and will most likely triumph over them. But still, it will be a luxury vehicle and not the mass market car which Elon wanted the model 3 to be.
Is a Mercedes Benz really worth the money?
Why not? It's Of course absolutely worth the money you pay for it. You will earn respect directly or indirectly when you own a sporty glossy smarty car that introduces itself to others. The way it enters the road makes everyone feel awestruck. Not only that they are rich and elagant in style (outside) but also makes comfier inside. "D" indicates the vehicle is equipped with a diesel engine. "E" (for "Einspritzung") indicates the vehicle's engine is equipped with petrol ,fuel injection,. In most cases (the ,600, limousine and Mercedes E-Class being the exceptions), if neither "E" or "D" is present, the vehicle has a petrol engine with a carburettor. Your question is difficult to answer because these are vehicle brands that operate in completely different parts of the market. "L" indicates "Leicht" (lightweight) for sporting models, and "Lang" (long-wheelbase) for sedan models. "R" indicates "Rennen" (racing), used for racing cars (for example, the ,300SLR,). "S" Sonderklasse "Special class" for flagship models. "T" indicates "Touring" and an estate (or station wagon) body style. From 1994, they changed this (as written in wikipedia) to indicate different levels, and normally a higher starting letter indicates a bigger or better car of the range though this is not true in all cases. The CLS is more expensive than an E class. The GL is bigger than the ML. It is pretty confusing but they have stuck with this naming due to Brand Identity. Most people know that the S class is the best sedan offered by Mercedes. This is also the reason for them keeping the old number naming. The C63 AMG no longer has the 6.3 Litre V8 but the name has been kept as it became very popular. The CLA is a 4 door sedan based on the A class hatch. But Mercedes already have a 4 door sedan named C. Meanwhile, the CL is advertised as a 2 door coupé version of the S class. And the CLS is another story, which is more expensive than the E class, and yet, called the "CLS". The GL is bigger than the ML, but the GLK is smaller. And neither the SL nor the SLK are related to the S class. Frankly, my head is spinning right now and I can't make head or tail of their nomenclature. I'm done trying to figure this out. I tried, but failed. Miserably.

The UK and the Indian Prime Ministers have already appreciated the financial ties between the two countries. Many companies have started putting up manufacturing houses in India. Celkon, one of the leading cellphone players, is right now in the planning process of setting up its manufacturing firm in Medchal, Telangana. IT Minister, KT Rama Rao, said the manufacturing business unit will be set up within a few days after June and will begin with four production lines, and will eventually increase its capacity to higher levels. Similarly, Foxconn Technology, who is one of the world’s largest contract makers of electronic products, is trying to develop 10-12 facilities in India, including factories by 2020. The Taiwan-based tech giant said that the company is in talks to manufacture Apple iPhones in India. This could lower the price on the world’s No.3 smartphone market where the US firm trails Samsung Electronics and local players.Today only Foxconn announced that it will invest 5 billion dollars in Maharashtra.
